Tracy Mroz, PhD, OTR/L, Associate Professor, Department of Rehabilitation Medicine, University of Washington, is an occupational therapist and health services researcher who studies how health policy and delivery system factors influence access to and quality of rehabilitation services and subsequent outcomes for patients. Her work focuses on home and community based services for older adults and care for vulnerable populations.
As a LeaRRn scholar, Dr. Mroz will be working with Rehabilitation Services at Intermountain Healthcare under the mentorship of Natalie Leland, PhD, OTR/L, BCG, FAOTA, FGSA.The overall objective of her work is to design a consultative model of rehabilitation care that can be embedded within Intermountain Healthcare’s home care programming to translate evidence-based interventions into practice for medically complex, high-risk populations. She will explore the perspectives of key stakeholders including administrators, frontline healthcare workers, and patients and families as well as examine health systems data to develop a model that complements existing services and aligns with the values and priorities of Intermountain Healthcare, internal work processes, and the needs of their patients.
