The Department of Classics in the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences at the University of Southern California (Los Angeles, California) seeks to appoint a tenure-track assistant professor of Roman studies anticipated to start Fall 2015. Applications from all sub-fields are welcome (examples include but are not limited to religion, literature, philosophy, material culture, history). The successful applicant must have an active research program and a commitment and ability to teach in all sections of the department’s curriculum, including language instruction, general education, and courses in the undergraduate major and in the graduate program. The Ph.D. must be in hand by June 30, 2015.
