The International Multidisciplinary Scientific GeoConference SGE (July 2- July 11, 2022) is focused on Global Warming, Climate Change, CO2 Reduction, Biodiversity, and Green Technologies for a Sustainable Future.

We are happy to inform you that the registrations for the XXII SGEM GeoConference 2022 are officially open. The conference is organized by the SWS Scholarly Society Vienna, with our partners and supporters from European academies of science and many world universities.

This year we are restoring the new period of the event: 2-11.07.2022, and do hope that we will not have to move it again for August 2022.So welcome to join us this summer! Share your scientific achievements and take a well-deserved holiday with your families and children. 

Each of you has an EMS account (or can create a new one if attending a conference for the first time), where in addition to your account details, you can register for this year event, upload your reports, book a hotel and transport, download a proforma invoice or make a credit card payment.

In the coming days, the conference proceedings of 2021 will be sent for evaluation and indexing of the most serious scientific databases Scopus, Web of Sciences, EBSCO, ProQuest, Petroleum Abstracts, Crossref, RSCI/RINZ, Google Scholar, etc.

As a special compliment to you, and despite global inflation, we kept the conference fees at the same level as in recent years. We hope this will help you and make it financially easier.

“Rethinking Economic Sources of Hamidian Legitimacy“

An online lecture with Ms. Naz Yücel, PhD candidate in history at the George Washington University.

Ms. Yücel will discuss the regime of the late Ottoman Sultan Abdülhamid II (r. 1876 – 1909). She will focus on the financial underpinnings that enabled the regime’s sustenance for over three decades, with a focus on the Sultan’s Privy Purse and the property and concessions Sultan Abdulhamid II acquired in the course of his rule.

“From Survey to History: The Region of Wadi el-Hudi through the Eras” with Professor Kate Liszka

From the American Research Center in Egypt:

This talk will discuss the unpublished history of the Wadi el-Hudi region based on the recent work, adding new information about the Paleolithic Period, the Predynastic Period, the Middle Kingdom, the New Kingdom, the Persian Period, the Late Ptolemaic and Early Roman Periods, the Late Roman Period, the Islamic Period, and modern activities. It will talk about the role of this region for mining, for pastoral nomads, and as a caravan route. The region of Wadi el-Hudi was integral to the history of the Eastern Desert throughout the eras, both for pharaohs’ jewelry and so much more.
