The 2026 Naguib Mahfouz Medal for Literature
Submissions are open for the 2026 Naguib Mahfouz Medal for Literature and will close on 1 December 2025.
The Medal is awarded every two years on 11 December, the anniversary of Naguib Mahfouz’s birth. The next winner will be announced on 11 December 2026, and a shortlist will be announced on 30 August 2026.
