Al Castillo currently works as a Research Specialist at the Whitman-Walker Institute in the research department. Originally from Houston, Texas, Al graduated from Georgetown University with a bachelor’s degree in global health and women’s and gender studies. During his undergraduate studies, he supported numerous LGBTQI+ and minority-led initiatives and programs, and today, he works with the aim of empowering the local trans and queer community within the DMV area. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his dog, Dana and playing classic arcade games.
