Erika Solis received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Arizona. Erika has 10 years of behavioral health experience, ranging from case management to program management. She excels in patient interactions and helping patients engage in treatment. She has a passion for caring for vulnerable and underserved populations. She is currently a Program Manager at El Rio Health, Special Immunology Associates (SIA). Erika’s job consists of overseeing the Ryan White program, supervising medical case managers as well as treatment adherence coordinators. Erika has 9 years of HIV experience, helping patients engage in care, retained in care and becoming virally suppressed. She believes in early intervention, through early education, access to treatment and in integrated treatment for patients to get all their needs met. She has been integral in setting up El Rio PrEP Program as well as RAPID START initiative in Tucson, Arizona. Erika also volunteers in community groups that support Ending the HIV Epidemic, these include Statewide Advisory Group (SWAG), Regional Quality Ryan White Meetings, Statewide Quality Improvement group as well as Co-chair of Tucson’s National Latino’s AIDS Awareness Day. She is also a co-lead in the state Community of Practice Initiative that focuses on helping reduce Substance Use Disorders in patients living with HIV.
