Hispanic Heritage Month Latin Night

Do you enjoy dancing with your friends to good music? Well, the Graduate Student Council invites all graduate students to 𝐇𝐢𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 at the Graduate Student Lounge on 𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟕𝐭𝐡 from 𝟖 𝐏𝐌 to 𝟏𝟐 𝐀𝐌!

• Admission is 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 for all 𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐮𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 and 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭 
• 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐡𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐝 for all attendees
• There will be a 𝐟𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 taught by a local professional dancer, 𝐊𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐜𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐊𝐞𝐤𝐞, at 𝟖 𝐏𝐌, followed by social dancing for the rest of the evening
• All attendees will be given tickets for a 𝐫𝐚𝐟𝐟𝐥𝐞 with over $𝟑𝟎𝟎 𝐢𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐬

Urgent Call for Graduate Students to Serve on University Committees!

As the semester settles into a rhythm, the GSC is still searching for new volunteers to provide a graduate student perspective on important university committees and meetings.  

First, we are still urgently looking for 3 new observers for the faculty meetings.  These meetings take place the first Tuesday of every month, starting with October, so it’s coming up fast!  If you are interested in this unique opportunity, please use this form to apply for the position.  More information about the meetings is available on the application.  

Next, we are still looking for more students to serve on the Graduate Council, the Student Conduct Board, and the Title IX Council.  The deadlines on these applications had previously passed, but they are being reopened until Monday, October 3 so that we can fill all available positions.
